Swimming Sports 2017

Swimming Sports was awesome! I thought everyone did well. We did backstroke then freestyle, breastroke and even butterfly. I am a swimmer and my favourite part of the year is swimming sports, well one of them anyway. I would like to give a big thanks to Ms Wilcock for organising all of it and the teachers for standing there the whole day just reading out names. Thanks to the time keepers (parents) for giving up your day for us. I wonder what zones is going to be like!

Summer Sports Exchange Feb 21st

On Tuesday February 21st VAS participated in their first Remuera Summer Sports Exchange for 2017.

It was a successful afternoon all round with incrediball, touch and tennis all banking their first wins of the Summer sports season.

Incrediball walked to Bloodworth Park to play St Michael's A team. The team had a great first hit out together.

The tennis team played Dilworth at Dilworth. The experience of our VAS players were too much for the Dilworth boys, winning all games. It was the first time many of the doubles pairings had played together.

The 3 mixed touch teams travelled up to Kings school to play St Kents. It was very much the unknown for all teams who had not played together before. All 3 teams had a win and were able to get everyone on the field with equal game time.

A great first round and we know it will only get harder!
